He showed kindness to everyone he met, understanding that kindness created opportunities to build lasting relationships that brought true change in people.
He was generous with his time, talent, and money putting other needs above his own to help improve our communities and the people who live in those communities.
He always saw what was possible and not impossible. He never thought in scarcity and encouraged others to realize and pursue their dreams.
He created opportunities for collaboration and was often the bridge builder in relationships with people and organizations.
The Ivan Rosa Memorial Foundation is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support that empowers other nonprofits and people to drive transformative change within their communities. The Foundation not only helps with funding but also raises awareness about the role of nonprofits in supporting vulnerable communities, making every participant a part of meaningful change.
The foundation is the nonprofit arm of Rosa Consulting, aims to be inclusive and collaborative, uniting communities and partnering with other foundations, funders, and organizations engaged in impactful initiatives. The goal is to aid and catalyze meaningful change that positively impacts our communities.
Ivan was dedicated to serving and helping others, and he especially enjoyed providing food. In remembrance of him, the foundation will give small grants and aid small non-profits that assist individuals, families, children, and those tackling food insecurity in the areas of Ashtabula, Canton, Cleveland, and Youngstown where his influence was most significant.
April 26, 2024 marked the loss of Ivan Rosa due to complications from cancer surgery, revealing his impactful legacy of selfless acts of kindness and love that inspired many. His memory endures through the Ivan Rosa Memorial Foundation, committed to assisting individuals, families, and children in challenging circumstances through the support of nonprofit organizations. Driven by his deep faith in God, his wife was told that his dedication to God’s work would continue to help people for generations and generations.
Our primary objective is to uphold this vision and continue his selfless deeds through the establishment of the Ivan Rosa Memorial Foundation.
What is a Changemaker?: Changemakers are individuals who embody vision, innovation, and passionate advocacy, dedicated to instigating impactful change. They have the ability to influence the future, question established norms, and foster a world that is more inclusive, fair, and just.
There are several ways to make change through the Ivan Rosa Memorial Foundation. You can give generously to the foundation to financially support the change, or you can receive a grant to make change in individuals or the community. Either approach is about making impact.
No gift is too small or large. We honor all our donors and encourage individuals, organizations, businesses and families to continue Ivan’s legacy of giving and supporting others.
We will be making an announcement when we begin to offer opportunities to apply for small grants. We are a new foundation so our grants will be limited, however, the goal is to grow year after year so that we can increase our giving.

Ivan was an avid coin collector. He was fascinated by coins and change and used his saved change to help others in need. He was no ordinary change collector, after his passing his family gathered his many change jars in their home. That change helped to provide a large portion of the start-up of the foundation. It demonstrated that saving just a few coins a day can bring change and significantly impact the lives of others.
The foundation will continue Ivan’s beloved tradition of saving change by initiating the ongoing campaign, “Save Your Change to Bring the Change”. As June is his birthday month, we are asking everyone to save their change for one year and bring it to the annual event that will be held every June. He would be so pleased to know that his legacy of helping so many would be partly funded by saved change. The first event will be held on his Birthday June 21, 2025.
